Printing a Christmas sign
One of our subscribers has created a fantastic project for a Christmas sign!
Peter, from North Queensland, Australia, has gone through some extra steps in creating coloured pegs and using Christmas tinsel to hang his Christmas sign which has created a very festive feel to this printable sign. He’s also shared some great tips below and you can see the finished product in the gallery.
Tips for creating a Christmas sign
- Festive Pegs! Use wooden pegs and colour them with food colouring. Peter soaked his pegs in buckets for about an hour then simply spread them out to dry in the sun.
- Planning the sign width using a long yard stick or tape measure – you can get about 4 x A4 sized pages to the metre. This gives a little spacing between each letter.
- Tinsel to Hang the Christmas sign added extra impact. Tinsel came in long 10 mtr lengths – plenty of room to make a long sign.
- Red and green paper alternating each letter and graphic.
